In our program review, one of the goals is to strengthen our outreach effort especially to underserved student populations such as Veteran students, students from the learning communities (UMOJA, MANA and PUENTE) and Multicultural/DREAM Center. By bringing on new full time faculty, we will be able to reach out to where students are on campus and collaborate with on campus programs. As a result, we will have more mental health awareness among students/faculty/staff and we expect to continue to have increased numbers of students who seek to use our services. In addition we will also be able to strengthen our connection to off-campus programs such as community based mental health agencies and the San Mateo County services. Through this effort we can better assist students to link to community resources if necessary. We are committed to providing high quality counseling services to the campus community in order to promote student success.
