Q8. Use the Quick PLS Catalog Search box on Skyline College Library home page to find a book on your topic, and use the information on the catalog to provide the following:

Name of publisher:
Call number:

Q9. Create a new Microsoft WORD document and arrange the book information in the previous question in MLA citation format (please click on the link on the right column for MLA citation format and examples for books.)

Please name the WORD file as MLAcitations and save it in the "Documents Library":

  • Click on File --> Save --> Computer --> Browse
  • Then change the file name to MLAcitations and click on Save.

Q10. Click on the Articles tab in the "Counseling 100 Guide", then use the EBSCOhost search box to find an article on your topic (you may also use the Quick Article Search (EBSCOhost) box on Skyline College Library home page). 

On the results page, check the box next to "Magazines" to limit search to magazine articles. Then click on one of the articles and provide the following information:

Date of publication:
Q11. Please click on the link on the right column for MLA citation format and examples for articles. Add the article information in Q10 in MLA journal citation format to the MLAcitation file you created in Q9.

[If you have already closed the MLAcitations file, open the MLAcitations file that you created in Q9 (File --> Open --> Browse, click on the file named MLAcitaitons.) Add to the file the article information in the  Q9 in MLA journal citation format.]

Save MLAcitations file in the "Documents Library":

  • Click on File --> Save --> Computer --> Browse-->Click on MLAcitations.dox and click on Save.
  • Then click on the "Browse" button in Q11. Select MLAcitations.docx, click on the "Open" button, then click on the "Next" button.


Upload MLAcitations.docx
